HOWL-O-WIENER DOXIE: AN ANGEL (AREN'T THEY ALL??)

Sometimes, it's hard decide if a doxie is a devil or an angel--or both at the same time! Dachshunds are so very lovable and cute, but boy, can they get into things they aren't supposed to, despite their short legs. Determination is the key, and they have an extra helping of that, right?

Here are a few examples of doxies being somewhat less than angelic:

HOWL-O-WIENER COSTUME: RENAISSANCE DAWG

This little guy could be Captain Hook from Peter Pan, a medieval ship captain, or a Renaissance dandy. You be the judge. He's cute, whatever he is!

HOWL-O-WIENER DOXIE: PEACOCK!

Peacocks have often been criticized for being aloof, arrogant, and snobbish. Well, look at them--they are downright gorgeous! Our Creator fashioned a special bird with all the trappings of royalty, complete with a crown. Isn't it fitting, then, that a doxie should wear a peacock costume?? 

We all know that doxies think they're as large and as important as anybody else, so I submit that ONLY a doxie can truly carry off that "peacock persona."

HOWL-O-WIENER DOXIE: THE HOT DOG!

Dachshunds have been called many things over the years: sausage, wiener, bratwurst--but the most popular nickname for these cuties has been hot dog! I like that one the best, because it implies their nature as well as their shape--they are bold, brash, pushy! They will jump right in, never giving a thought to what might happen afterward.

Always up for some fun (unless they are wanting to sleep), these fabulous dogs are aptly called hot dogs. Even the Heinz Company featured them in their ketchup commercial a few years back. 

Without further ado, I present today's "HOT" DOGS:

"Why are we priced so low?"

"That big dog over there wants to take a bite! Help!"

"Why don't you give me a hot dog to eat instead of

They say all good things must come to an end, and that's certainly true for my howl-o-wiener blog posts. Today is the final post of Halloween doxie costumes. If no one else has enjoyed these cute and unique costumes, I certainly have!

Before I forget, I probably won't be posting next week because (1) the grandchildren will be spending a few days with us (yay!), and (2) I must complete my manuscript of A DACHSHUND'S MERRY-GO-ROUND LIFE, Book 5. It is due to the publisher on Nov. 20 for the Nov. 30 release! Yikes!

I have two more chapters to write, then I must do edits and format the document for e-book publication. Enough. You aren't here to read about that--you're here to see doxie photos! So, without further ado, here they are:
