Doxies are quick, they are always hungry, and they can hear the fridge opening from a mile away, even if they are dead asleep when we tiptoe into the kitchen are ever so quiet!

DANDY DOXIE DUDES: "STEPPIN' OUT" IN TUXEDOS!

Here are some really handsome doxie dudes ready for a holiday or a night on the town. They look like they KNOW they're handsome--and we can't argue with that. 

After being dressed up as who knows what for Halloween, and soon to be dressed up as turkeys, elves, pilgrims, or reindeer and Christmas trees, it's probably a welcome change to be handsome.

I don't know about you, but I think this doxie costume is tops! So creative, so cute, so "sweet"!

Howl-o-wiener is almost here, and doxies everywhere will probably breathe a sigh of relief. That is, until it's time to dress them up for Thanksgiving. Poor things.

The Old West is still a beloved era of American history, and cowboys have been romanticized in film, books, and numerous TV shows in days gone by, such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Rawhide, The Rifleman, and Big Valley, several of which are still seen in syndication.

In honor of that time in our history, today's doxies are cowboys extraordinaire. Let's go lasso us some ponies with 'em, shall we?

These costumes are superb, and the doxies wearing them have carried off the look perfectly. Doxies know how to act a certain way to get what they want, and all doxie parents learn that pretty quickly. And although we're on to them, those EYES are really hard to resist. And they know it!

Dachshunds . . . you GOTTA love 'em. There's no way around that, no matter what they do.

Oh, they love to bark, don't they?

And they're oh, so helpful!

HOWL-O-WIENER DOXIE: AN ANGEL (AREN'T THEY ALL??)

Sometimes, it's hard decide if a doxie is a devil or an angel--or both at the same time! Dachshunds are so very lovable and cute, but boy, can they get into things they aren't supposed to, despite their short legs. Determination is the key, and they have an extra helping of that, right?

Here are a few examples of doxies being somewhat less than angelic:
