THE REASON FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON

Up front and personal, with the Christmas season upon us, I wish to say unequivocally that JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

As Christians, our family enjoys all the fun holiday traditions, of course, but always mindful that Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth, who came as Savior to all who accept Him.  That is great cause for rejoicing!  I'll be posting lots of Christmas photos and decorations this month, because I enjoy it so much.

So . . . I want to wish each of you a blessed and spectacular Christmas season.  May the Lord grant you peace, joy, and love.  MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A VERY DOXIE CHRISTMAS!

Here's our granddawg Shadow (aka Sarge in THE DACHSHUND ESCAPADES series) all dressed up in his Christmas outfit.  I'm ready for the holidays, aren't you?

I'll be posting lots of doxie Christmas pics leading up to December 25.  Our family absolutely LOVES Christmas and all its trappings, ever mindful of the true meaning of Christmas, our Lord's birth.  Oh, there's nothing wrong with Christmas trees, holly, stockings, snow, or any of that--we just want to make sure that we keep Christ in our Christmas.

So, here goes:  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL!  Jesus is the reason for the season :).

WHY I LOVE CHRISTMAS

"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."  John 3:16-17

DOG TIRED!

"I'm dog tired and haven't even been to a Christmas party yet!"

WARNING:  I'll be posting lots of Christmas doxie pictures over the course of the next few weeks.

I love everything about Christmas:  the hustle and bustle, crowded stores, Christmas music being piped all over, wrapping presents, decorating, all the delicious goodies . . . but our family celebrates the holiday as the birthday of Jesus, which it commemorates.  Merry Christmas!
