HAPPY LABOR DAY!

 We’re hosting one of our daughters, her hubby, the three grands, and the two granddawgs for a mid-afternoon meal today. I know a cookout is traditional, but we’ve opted to prepare a nice sit down meal: pot roast with carrots & potatoes, parmesan broccoli and cauliflower, baked mac & cheese, rolls, iced tea, pound cake & apple pie with ice cream.

Why do doxies yawn? According to the AKC, they do it because they:

•are stressed, such as being at the vet

•indifferent or bored

•”caught” a yawn from another dog or from a human

•yawn because it’s part of life, just like we do!
