HOWL-O-WIENER COSTUME: 3 MUSKETEERS CANDY BAR!

Look at that face - I don't think today's doxie is all that thrilled with being a candy bar. Some dogs like to be dressed up, others hate it. Don't worry, buddy, it won't be for that long. Then you can run free the rest of the year (we hope).

MY GRANDCHILDREN'S HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!

As I said, I didn't post much last week because the grands were with us for several days. I had promised to post photos of their Halloween costumes, so here they are:

Alexa as princess

Annika as Southern belle

Asher as Yoda from Star Wars

Daughter Holly (their mom) as a cat

Annika and Holly (as Barbie doll)

Yoda, Barbie, Princess

They had a fabulous time at their church's "Trunk or Treat" Halloween festivity. Love those grands!

FALL FESTIVAL AND HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

Daughter Holly and the grandchildren entered the costume contest at our town's fall festival this past Saturday.  She was Carmen Miranda, Alexa was an Egyptian princess, Annika was a Dutch girl, and Asher was Iron Man.

Asher's age category had the fiercest competition, with Peter Pan winning first place.  Alexa won third place in her age category, with Annika and Holly winning first place in their respective categories!!

It was a beautiful fall day, sunny and in the 50s--the smell of foods, the colorful costumes (they even had a doggie costume contest!), the balloons, the rides, and all the blaring music just made the day so much fun!  Annika and Alexa rode several rides, while Asher enjoyed the inflatable slide.

So glad we could enjoy the small town atmosphere.  Happy Halloween, everyone!
