HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED: HAPPY VETERANS DAY

To all who served and are now serving, we honor you and thank you for your service to our country! We have a number of veterans in our family: my late father (Army - WWII), my husband Clark (Army - Vietnam), Clark's brother (Navy), our nephew (Air Force).

God bless you, and God bless America.

HAPPY VETERANS DAY

Here's wishing a Happy Veterans Day to all who have served or are currently serving!  We thank you for protecting our freedoms and way of life.

I would especially like to thank my two personal veterans:  my late father, Robert D. Duke, who served in Guadalcanal, New Caledonia, and the Philippines in WWII; and my husband Clark, who served with the military police in Vietnam.

May you have a blessed day, veterans.  Many restaurants here in Georgia are offering free meals to veterans, and we are going to partake later today.  What a nice gesture!

THANK YOU, VETERANS!

My late father served 22 years in the U.S. Army, including Guadalcanal and the Philippines in WWII; my husband Clark served a tour of duty in Vietnam with the military police.

As we celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, let us all pause and reflect on what those who have died for our country have done.  I am full of gratitude for my freedoms, my safety, and my country. Thank you, veterans.

Let us also never forget the One who died on the cross of Calvary; He saved more than our freedoms down here, but He secured eternity for those who believe in Him.  Thank you, Jesus, for your supreme sacrifice.
