My late father served 22 years in the U.S. Army, including
Guadalcanal and the Philippines in WWII; my husband Clark served a tour
of duty in Vietnam with the military police.
As we
celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, let us all pause and reflect on what
those who have died for our country have done. I am full of gratitude
for my freedoms, my safety, and my country. Thank you, veterans.
Let
us also never forget the One who died on the cross of Calvary; He saved
more than our freedoms down here, but He secured eternity for those who
believe in Him. Thank you, Jesus, for your supreme sacrifice.
