Cream, anyone?
People are fascinated by the English cream variety of dachshund. They are truly beautiful, elegant-looking dogs! They’re often called the rock stars of the dog world, because they turn heads wherever they go.
I did some research on this gorgeous doxie ~ very interesting info:
“Here are some ways to figure out if the dog you are eyeing is a true English cream dachshund:
•English cream dachshunds are born black and only lighten over time. Some shading may remain on their coat but this is expected from this pup. Clear creams are an exception to this because they are born with a very light coat.
•They only come in the long-haired variety. If the parent breeds were also able to produce short-haired or wire-haired pups, ditch the breeder you are talking with.
•Their coat color is very light and it has a yellow undertone comparable to an eggshell’s color.
•Their light cream color doesn’t change throughout their life. They don’t darken or manifest a reddish undertone like the American creams.
•The nose and nails of English creams are black and their eyes are dark brown.
They only come in miniature sizes.”
