🧼Doxies generally dislike baths, but feel so good afterward that they often break into zoomies all over the house, lol. Our doxie Duke used to do that all the time.

🐾Today’s doxies represent their coat DIFFERENCES: smooth, longhaired, wirehaired, plus the colors, combinations, and patterns—and there are too many to name here. No other dog breed rivals the dachshund in coat variety!
🐾They’re all beautiful, and with plenty to admire for everyone, from smooth reds to two-tone longhaired piebalds.
🐾Not only are doxies beautiful, but intelligent, loyal, loving, quick, HUNGRY, and are never accused of being bland—they live life to the hilt (unless it’s raining outside, of course).

A random act of kindness can make someone’s day: smile at other while grocery shopping, mailing a package, getting lunch, or just perusing sales items in a store.
Here in the South, smiling at strangers or striking up a conversation while waiting in a line is completely normal—and it just adds a little kindness to the day.

Today’s dawgs show a major side we simply can’t ignore: those FACES that make us laugh, cry, and everything in between. You gotta love ‘em—impossible not to! And we can usually look at their faces and know what they’re thinking, lol.

Be sure to keep your pets safe from the heat as well:
• high temps and humidity
• hot pavement will burn their paws
• no hot cars! Cars can easily reach deadly temps inside them, and even two minutes in a parked car can cause heat stroke or worse!
Happy Monday! This week’s gonna be a scorcher here in the Southeast, so we’ll all be staying as cool as possible.
When I was a child, most homes (or businesses) did not have AC. I recall that drugstores were usually the first businesses to have it, so when we went into town, we’d make sure to spend some time in one of those to cool off. I admit I’m spoiled because I MUST have AC—even more so than heat in winter (if one can call what we have here “winter).

🎩Today, our hats are off to senior doxies! Our favorite dawg is one of the longest living breeds, averaging 16 years of age. (The larger the breed, the shorter their lifespan, on average.) A doxie is considered senior at 11+ years old.
