Sixty pounds of pressure is about all the average human can exert while biting. Dachshunds can bite down with the tremendous force of more than 350 pounds! Ouch!!
I’d rather they use that force on a toy, wouldn’t you?? In the heat of playing, doxies sometimes forget and chomp down. Our Duke was a fanatic for “a hand under his blankie” ~ if “it” would try to bite him, he’d definitely reciprocate, lol. But he never bit any of us on purpose.
Dachshunds . . . you GOTTA love ‘em.
