NEVER FORGET

 

This photo was taken when we were in NYC in May 2001 with Wake Christian Academy’s senior class (Raleigh) for our annual senior trip. There were about 65 students and four of us chaperones: my husband Clark and me, plus another couple. 

Among many other places there, we always toured the Twin Towers of the WTC. Little did we know then what would happen that September 11, only a few months later. Clark took this photo while we were on the ferry trip around NYC. 

All of us who were old enough at the time remember where we were on that infamous day: we—and our two daughters —were at WCA for a normal day of school.

Never forget.
