Cream, anyone? Doxies, that is! Today we’re featuring “the cream of the crop,” English creams.

What makes them so special? They were bred in England specifically for their light, champagne-colored silky coats. They’re always longhaired minis, always have black features: eyes, nose, lips, toenails, paw pads.

According to Google, “English cream dachshunds are highly prized for their luxurious, pale-to-golden cream coats and famously mellow temperaments. Primarily long-haired miniatures, they are often considered the most laid back of the dachshund family, though they still possess the breed's signature loyalty, intelligence, and playful burrowing instincts.”

Their coat colors can vary from nearly white  to shaded, meaning black tipped ears and tail. They have the chinchilla gene, and are often the clear or ee true cream. There is much more info about them on Google or other sites, but too lengthy to include here.

Creams are true head turners! Have a happy WEENSday, FURiends!
