Today’s doxies are “the cream of the crop,” the beautiful English creams! They seem to have a star quality about them as well.
“The English Cream is a variation of the traditional dachshund breed with a cream-colored coat, believed to have originated in England in the 19th century. Breeders sought to selectively breed for a cream-colored, silky coat. Many kennel clubs, including the American Kennel Club (AKC), recognize them as a separate category” —copied
Finally, an English cream can be pure (EE) cream or shaded cream (with black hairs accenting their cream color), always with a silky longhaired coat and the miniature size of doxie.
To me, ALL doxie coats are beautiful, however! Happy Weensday!
