DUKE THE DRIVER
Duke is helping "Daddy" drive while we're on a long trip. Duke is not a good traveler; he gets too hyper and just cannot relax.
The vet gave us some doggie tranquilizers a few years ago to help calm him down, telling us that half a pill would knock him out--since the vet's boxer slept all the way to Cincinnati on one pill! WRONG. Duke looks so sleepy, but he still whines and wants to get in Clark's lap the entire time.
Anywhere else, Duke is a wonderful dawg. But in the car, not so much. Any ideas out there on how to help a dog travel better?
