Here's a pic of a red, smooth-coat trio. Aren't they beautiful?
When I was growing up, we had several red smooth "ladies," all of whom I loved dearly. One named Elia, whom we adopted when my dad was stationed in Germany, became my fun companion. She even allowed me to dress her up in baby clothes! Once, I dressed her with a baby cap that tied underneath her chin, wrapped her in a baby blanket, and placed her in my doll baby carriage.
While taking her on a walk, two elderly ladies asked to see my "doll." When they looked down into my doll carriage, they were astounded to see my Elia lying there on her back, quite content to allow me to push her around our Army base residential area.
